Practicum - MBCT

Live online training | With Dr Tania Gibbie

9 week course

Practicum in MBCT - curriculum training

The intention of the Practicum is to give you an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the curriculum elements, and rationale of the unfolding practice and inquiry and how this is informed by the underpinnings of mindfulness meditation practice and theory (science and Buddhist psychology), prior to beginning teaching and supervision.  We hope this will prepare you for your first round of teaching so that you are more grounded, knowledgeable and easeful as you engage with your participants.  (You do not need to be teaching a round of classes while you attend the Practicum.)

The Practicum has three main elements:

  • Viewing a weekly MBCT class, over the eight weeks
  • Reading material each week
  • Attending a live online seminar for discussion and exploration (1.5 hours a week). During this seminar, some material will be presented by the teacher and then we will explore your questions that are arising.
