Nicole is a Titled Pain Management Physiotherapist dedicated to both the science and experience of the mind/body connection -particularly the interface between pain and suffering and the arising potential for insight and growth.
Nicole has been a mindfulness instructor since 2014, delivering community-based MBSR programs with mindfulBeing Melbourne and running mindfulness groups for people experiencing persistent pain and the comorbidities of pain such as depression, anxiety and sleep disturbance through The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Nicole has been nurturing meditative and embodiment practices since the age of fifteen and has undergone intensive training in the Insight tradition throughout retreat centres in Australia, England, Germany, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka. Nicole’s commitment to contemplative wisdom is further inspired by contemporaries such as Vidyamala Burch, Dr. Sara Lazar, Dr. Norman Farb and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk.
Nicole brings a unique combination of compassion and humour to her teaching and is passionate about supporting others to overcome physical and mental suffering, to cultivate self-compassion and to create more space and peace in their lives.
